About e-books
Universalis on Windows or the Mac can create e-books of a day's, a week's, or a month's worth of Universalis pages:
- for e-book readers such as the Sony Reader, the Barnes & Noble Nook, and the Amazon Kindle.
- for e-book reading programs on laptop and desktop computers and other devices.
- for mobile phones that can read e-books.
For instance, if you have a phone for which we don't have a Universalis program — such as Android, Blackberry, or Symbian — you will probably find that it will read e-books in the ePub format, or you will be able to get an application for it that does.
Amazon Kindle
The Kindle is exceptional because it cannot read the industry-standard ePub format for e-books.

Other e-book readers
All current devices that can read e-books will accept the ePub format.

Why we do it like this
Universalis can give you the content for any date, for any of the many local calendars that it supports. If we tried to do the same thing with e-books, we would have to publish dozens of e-books every year. It would be chaos; and you'd have to keep paying for them year after year. That would be troublesome for us and unfair to you.
So instead, your single purchase of a registration code for the Universalis downloads will let you create your own private e-books for as long as you want.
Please note that the e-books you create are for your private use only and must not be given or distributed to other people.
