Universalis

Using a registration code

If you have already bought a Universalis registration code from us then you can have the full Universalis content on your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch without having to pay again. If you think you have bought a registration code but haven’t got a record of what it is, email us using the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of this page, and we’ll try and look you up.

Step 1. Get Catholic Calendar

If you already have Catholic Calendar, you don't have to do anything: skip straight to step 2.

It’s free. Tap on the button below.

AppStore link

Step 2. View this page on your device

If you are already reading this on the screen of your iPhone (or iPad or iPod Touch), just skip straight to step 3.

If you are looking at this page on your computer, open Safari on your device, visit the main page at universalis.com, find the message in red which says “If you have a registration code, click here for instructions”, and tap on it.

Step 3. On your device, enter your registration code

Now that you are looking at this page on your device, you can type your registration code into the box below and tap “Go”:

Registration code:
(The registration code is 9 digits: for instance, 123-456-789. You don't need to enter the hyphens.)
  1. When you tap “Go”, Safari will ask you if you want to open a link in “RC Calendar”. Say Yes.
  2. Catholic Calendar will open.
  3. Wait a few seconds (it may take up to a minute on a slow connection).
  4. A message will appear saying that the Universalis database has been downloaded and installed. If the message doesn’t appear at all after a couple of minutes, see the bottom of this page for advice.
  5. Your Catholic Calendar application will now behave just like the full Universalis that is purchased from the App Store.

There is only one minor difference between Universalis and Catholic Calendar with a registration code:

If you get this error message

then the reason is that either that you have not installed Catholic Calendar or that you are not looking at this page on which you have installed Catholic Calendar. What is happening is that Safari is receiving back from our server the special link which says, “Catholic Calendar, please accept this code!”, and because Catholic Calendar isn’t there, Safari doesn’t know what to do with that link.

The cure is simple. Install Catholic Calendar on your device, and then open this page on that same device.

Any other problems

If you have any other problem, please contact us and we will help you through it. We apologize for the intricate procedure for entering registration codes, but Apple do not allow the Catholic Calendar app to ask for a registration code directly.
