Apps and programs

There are Universalis apps and programs for Android (including Amazon Fire / Kindle Fire), iOS (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch), Mac and Windows.

For other systems, and for e-readers, you can get Universalis e-books instead.

Why use an app?

There are better translations than the web site. This is because the owners of some of the texts we use do not allow them to appear on web sites.

There are no date limits. You can go as far into the future as you want – or into the past.

You don't need the Internet. The apps are self-contained. They have everything you need, for all time.

Better layout and more flexibility.

The Mass Today page. This merges the Order of Mass with the readings and prayers for the day, so you can follow the Mass right through without having to jump here and there through a missal.

A daily email service. This sends you the Hours you want, every day, by email.

How much does an app cost?

Android (and Amazon Fire / Kindle Fire)

£9.99 gets you the Universalis app. (£9.99 is about $15 or €14). There is also a free trial period. Read more about the Android app here.

Registration codes

£19.99 gets you a Universalis registration code. This gives you free access to all the apps and downloads: Android, iOS, Windows and Mac. This is a once-only payment, not a subscription. (£19.99 is about $30 or €28). If you buy an app, and later decide that you want a registration code, you will get a discount to make up for what you paid for the app. Read more about registration codes here.
