Kindle (Mac): transfer to the Kindle

There are three ways of transferring your newly created e-book to your Kindle.

• EITHER connecting your Kindle to your computer using the USB cable that came with the Kindle. On your computer, you then drag the e-book file into a folder on the Kindle. This is fast and straightforward, but some people find the process a bit fiddly.
• OR sending the e-book to your Amazon account. It then appears on your Kindle automatically. If you are more familiar with email than with moving files around with Finder, this may be better. In some cases Amazon may charge you “a small amount” for this service.
• OR using Amazon’s new "Send to Kindle" program for the Mac. With this, you save the created e-book to your desktop and then right-click on it and select "Send to Kindle" from the menu. You can get “Send to Kindle” from Amazon’s web site.
