Apps and programs

There are Universalis apps and programs for:

Why use one?

Better translations than on the web site. This is because the owners of some of the texts we use do not allow them to appear on web sites.

No date limits. You can go as far into the future as you want – or into the past.

Better layout and more flexibility.

You don't need the Internet. The apps are self-contained. They have everything you need, for all time.

The “Mass Today” page. This merges the Order of Mass with the readings and prayers for the day, so you can follow the Mass right through without having to jump here and there through a missal.

A daily email service. This sends you the Hours you want, every day, by email.

Music and spoken audio. Optionally, the apps allow you to subscribe to daily audio content of the Hours and the Gospel. More details for Android. More details for iOS.

How much does it cost?

Android only

The Universalis app costs around £9.99 (about $12.50 or €11.50). You get it from Google Play or Amazon, and one purchase covers all your compatible Android devices. No subscription is needed. Here are full details.

Alternatively, you can get a monthly subscription for £0.79-0.89 a month (about $0.99 or €0.99), in which case there is a one-month free trial. Here are full details.

iOS (iPhone / iPad / iPod) only

The Universalis app costs £10.99 / $10.99 / €11.99 from the App Store. One purchase covers all your iOS devices. No subscription is needed. Here are full details.

Alternatively, you can get a monthly subscription for £0.79 a month (about $0.99 or €0.99), in which case there is a one-month free trial. Here are full details.

Android and iOS and Mac and Windows and e-books

To cover all these things at once, get a Universalis registration code. The registration code costs £19.99 (about $24.50 or €23.00) directly from us. No subscription is needed, and you only need one registration code to cover all your devices and systems. Here are full details.

Free trials

One-month free trials are available.

When the month is over, you can decide whether to buy the Universalis app or a registration code. For the Android and iPhone apps, you can choose to pay a monthly subscription instead of buying an app.

App or registration code? If you can't decide between buying an app and a registration code, buy the app. If you decide later that you want a registration code later on, you can get it at a discount. Instructions are here.

How to buy

All the apps and programs have a one-month free trial before you need to pay. See the individual pages for details.
