Universalis

Purchasing and licensing: bought from Amazon

You have said that you have bought the Universalis app from the Amazon Appstore.

If you want Universalis on other Android devices

The official way (free)

Amazon say that the app you have bought from Amazon will run on any Android device that has the Amazon Appstore app installed.

Amazon say that you can install the Amazon Appstore app onto any Android device, even one that also has Google Play on it. This will give you access to all the apps you bought from the Amazon Appstore: not just Universalis. Here are links to their instructions: amazon.co.uk · amazon.com · amazon.com.au· amazon.ca.

Installing the Amazon Appstore app looks a little scary but is not really difficult. All the same, if you cannot do this, then there are alternatives. Here they are:

The best and most flexible way to buy

Since you have already bought the Universalis app from Amazon, you have already paid half the price of a Universalis registration code. If you now buy a registration code from us by paying the second half of the price, you will have full flexibility for the future because the code will work on Android devices, Apple devices, Mac, Windows, and e-books.

  1. Buy a Universalis registration code at half price – £9.99 (about $12.60 or €11.50) – using the Universalis app on your Amazon device. The instructions are here.
  2. On your Android device, get Catholic Calendar (it's free) and put your registration code into it. Instructions are here.

Note that to do this, you do still have to have a device with the Universalis app that you bought from Amazon.

The quickest way

Just buy the Universalis app from Google Play. The instructions are here.

You don’t lose any money doing it like this. But the app you get will work on Android devices only (and not, for instance, on Apple devices or Mac or Windows), so you do lose a little flexibility for the future.
