Hymnus
Certum tenéntes órdinem,
pio poscámus péctore
hora diéi tértia
trinæ virtútis glóriam,
Ut simus habitáculum

qui quondam in apóstolis
hac hora distribútus est.
Hoc gradiénte órdine,
ornávit cuncta spléndide
regni cæléstis cónditor
ad nostra ætérna prǽmia.
Deo Patri sit glória
eiúsque soli Fílio
cum Spíritu Paráclito,
in sempitérna sǽcula. Amen.
Hymn
Come, Holy Spirit, live in us
With God the Father and the Son,
And grant us your abundant grace
To sanctify and make us one.
May mind and tongue made strong in love
Your praise throughout the world proclaim,
And may that love within our hearts
Set fire to others with its flame.
Most blessèd Trinity of love,
For whom the heart of man was made,
To you be praise in timeless song,
And everlasting homage paid.
Stanbrook Abbey Hymnal

Ps 118:129-136
Meditatio verbi Domini in lege

Plenitudo legis est dilectio” (Rom 13, 10).

Gressus meos dírige secúndum elóquium tuum, Dómine.
129Mirabília testimónia tua,*
  ídeo servávit ea ánima mea.
130Declarátio sermónum tuórum illúminat*
  et intelléctum dat párvulis.
131Os meum apérui et attráxi spíritum,*
  quia præcépta tua desiderábam.
132Convértere in me et miserére mei*
secúndum iudícium tuum cum diligéntibus nomen tuum.
133Gressus meos dírige secúndum elóquium tuum,*
et non dominétur mei omnis iníquitas.
134Rédime me a calúmniis hóminum,*
  ut custódiam mandáta tua.
135Fáciem tuam illúmina super servum tuum*
  et doce me iustificatiónes tuas.
136Rívulos aquárum deduxérunt óculi mei,*
  quia non custodiérunt legem tuam.
Glória Patri et Fílio*
  et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio et nunc et semper*
  et in sǽcula sæculórum.
Amen.
Gressus meos dírige secúndum elóquium tuum, Dómine.

Psalm 118(119): 129-136

Let my footsteps be guided by your promise, O Lord.
Your rulings fill me with wonder,
  and therefore I obey them.
As your word unfolds, it gives light
  and understanding to the simple.
I opened my mouth and I sighed
  with longing for your commands.
Turn to me and take pity on me
according to your judgement on those who love your name.
Direct my steps according to your promises,
and let no wickedness seduce me.
Rescue me from human opposition
so that I can follow your commands.
Let your face shine on your servant;
  and teach me your statutes.
Tears flow from my eyes
when your law is not kept.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
  and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
  world without end.
Amen.
Let my footsteps be guided by your promise, O Lord.

Ps 81:1-8
Contra iudices iniquos

Nolite ante tempus quidquam iudicare, quoadusque veniat Dominus” (1 Cor 4, 5).

Unus est legislátor et iudex; tu autem quis es, qui iúdicas próximum?
1Deus stetit in concílio divíno,*
  in médio deórum iúdicat.
«2Usquequo iudicábitis iníque*
  et fácies peccatórum sumétis?
3Iudicáte egéno et pupíllo,*
  húmilem et páuperem iustificáte.
4Erípite páuperem*
et egénum de manu peccatóris liberáte».
5Nesciérunt, neque intellexérunt, in ténebris ámbulant;*
  movebúntur ómnia fundaménta terræ.
6Ego dixi: «Dii estis*
  et fílii Excélsi omnes».
7Vos autem sicut hómines moriémini*
et sicut unus de princípibus cadétis.
8Surge, Deus, iúdica terram,*
quóniam tu hereditábis in ómnibus géntibus.
Glória Patri et Fílio*
  et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio et nunc et semper*
  et in sǽcula sæculórum.
Amen.
Unus est legislátor et iudex; tu autem quis es, qui iúdicas próximum?

Psalm 81 (82)
Against unjust judges

There is but one judge and one ruler: who, then, are you to judge your neighbour?
God stands in the divine assembly
among the gods he gives judgement.
‘How long will you be giving unjust judgements
  in favour of the wicked?’
Judge for the weak and for orphans,
in favour of the poor and the lowly.
Rescue the weak and the poor
from the power of the wicked.
They did not know, they did not understand;
  they walk in the shadows,
the foundations of the world are shaken.
I said, ‘You are gods,
you are all sons of the Most High.’
But you will die just like men;
you will fall just like princes.
Rise up, O God, and judge the earth,
for all nations are your inheritance.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
  and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
  world without end.
Amen.
There is but one judge and one ruler: who, then, are you to judge your neighbour?

Ps 119:1-7
Desiderium pacis

In tribulatione patientes, orationi instantes” (Rom 12, 12).

Clamávi et Dóminus exaudívit me.
1Ad Dóminum, cum tribulárer, clamávi,*
  et exaudívit me.
2Dómine, líbera ánimam meam a lábiis mendácii,*
  a lingua dolósa.
3Quid detur tibi aut quid apponátur tibi,*
  lingua dolósa?
4Sagíttæ poténtis acútæ*
  cum carbónibus iuniperórum.
5Heu mihi, quia peregrinátus sum in Mosoch,*
  habitávi ad tabernácula Cedar!
6Multum íncola fuit ánima mea*
  cum his, qui odérunt pacem.
7Ego eram pacíficus;*
  cum loquébar, illi impugnábant me.
Glória Patri et Fílio*
  et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio et nunc et semper*
  et in sǽcula sæculórum.
Amen.
Clamávi et Dóminus exaudívit me.

Psalm 119 (120)
Longing for peace

I called and the Lord answered me.
I was in trouble, and cried to the Lord;
  and he answered me.
Lord, free me from the lips of liars,
  from deceitful tongues.
What will be given you, what will you receive,
  deceitful tongue?
Sharp arrows from the warrior,
  hardened in the flames.
Alas, I am an exile in Meshech;
I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
My soul has lived too long
  with those who hate peace.
I am for making peace;
but whenever I spoke, they attacked me.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
  and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
  world without end.
Amen.
I called and the Lord answered me.

and love all men as our brethren.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Benedicámus Dómino.
