O God, come to our aid.
O Lord, make haste to help us.

Dei fide, qua vívimus,
qua spe perénni crédimus,
per caritátis grátiam
Christi canámus glóriam,
Qui ductus hora tértia
ad passiónis hóstiam,
crucis ferens suspéndia
ovem redúxit pérditam.
Precémur ergo súbditi,
redemptióne líberi,
ut éruat a sǽculo
quos solvit a chirógrapho.
Christum rogámus et Patrem,
Christi Patrísque Spíritum;
unum potens per ómnia,
fove precántes, Trínitas. Amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, live in us
With God the Father and the Son,
And grant us your abundant grace
To sanctify and make us one.
May mind and tongue made strong in love
Your praise throughout the world proclaim,
And may that love within our hearts
Set fire to others with its flame.
Most blessèd Trinity of love,
For whom the heart of man was made,
To you be praise in timeless song,
And everlasting homage paid.

Ps 118:33-40
| Psalm 118(119): 33-40This is the time of repentance for us to atone for our sins and seek salvation.
Lay down the law for me, Lord,
the way of your statutes,
and I will follow it always.
Give me understanding, and I will obey your law
and keep it with all my heart.
Lead me down the path of your commandments,
for that is the path I desire.
Turn my heart towards your precepts
and away from the pursuit of wealth.
Turn my eyes away from frivolous things:
let me live by following your path.
Keep your promises to your servant,
so that you may be feared.
Keep me from the insults I fear,
for your judgements are kind.
See how I long for your precepts;
and give me life by your righteousness.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Ps 33:2-11
| Psalm 33 (34)
|
Ps 33:12-2312Veníte, fílii, audíte me:*
timórem Dómini docébo vos.
13Quis est homo, qui vult vitam,*
díligit dies, ut vídeat bonum?
14Próhibe linguam tuam a malo,*
Amen.
Advenérunt nobis dies pæniténtiæ ad rediménda peccáta, ad salvándas ánimas.
| Psalm 33 (34)Come, children, listen to me:
I shall teach you the fear of the Lord.
Who is the man who desires life,
who wants to live long to enjoy good things?
Do not let your tongue speak evil:
let your lips not utter deceit.
Avoid evil, do good:
seek peace and follow it.
The eyes of the Lord are on the just
and his ears hear their cries;
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil:
he wipes their memory from the earth.
The just cried out, and the Lord listened
and freed them from all their many troubles.
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted:
the crushed in spirit he will save.
Many are the troubles of the just,
but the Lord will free them from all of them.
He will protect all their bones:
not one will be broken.
Their own evil destroys sinners:
those who hate the just will be punished.
The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants:
those who put their hope in him will not be punished.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
This is the time of repentance for us to atone for our sins and seek salvation.

At the daytime hours (Terce, Sext, None) when you don’t choose to use the psalms of the day, use the complementary psalms instead.
Ps 119:1-7
| Psalm 119 (120)
|
Ps 120:1-8
| Psalm 120 (121)
|
Ps 121:1-9
| Psalm 121 (122)
|
|
If we say we have no sin in us, we are deceiving ourselves and refusing to admit the truth; but if we acknowledge our sins, then God who is faithful and just will forgive our sins and purify us from everything that is wrong.

Oremus.
Deus, qui, licet salútem hóminum semper operáris, nunc tamen pópulum tuum grátia abundantióre lætíficas, réspice propítius ad electiónem tuam, ut piæ protectiónis auxílium et regenerándos múniat et renátos.

| Let us pray.
Lord God,
at all times you are working out the salvation of man,
but now more especially you enrich your people with grace.
Look kindly on this people:
keep the seal of baptism inviolate in those who have received it
and in those who still await their rebirth in the Spirit.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
