Kindle (Mac): transfer to the Kindle

There are three ways of transferring your newly created e-book to your Kindle.
- EITHER connecting your Kindle to your computer using the USB cable that came with the Kindle. The e-book needs to be in Kindle format for this to work. On your computer, you then
drag the e-book file into a folder on the Kindle. This is fast and straightforward,
but some people find the process a bit fiddly.
- OR sending the e-book to your Amazon
account. It then appears on your Kindle automatically. The e-book needs to be in ePub format for this to work. If you are
more familiar with email than with moving files around with Finder, this
may be better.
- OR using Amazon’s new "Send to Kindle" program for the Mac. With this, you save the created e-book to your desktop and then right-click on it and select "Send to Kindle" from the menu. The e-book needs to be in ePub format for this to work. You can get “Send to Kindle” from Amazon’s web site.
